Microsoft doesn't seem to "do" ordinary letters. The
support site is unintelligible to me. The support centre
sends me on a roundabout. I'm fed up!!!
Just like a plug would be meaningless in the C19th, so is
my MediaPlayer to me. I run a little recording studio.
It saves data as .MID and .SNG. Media Player happily
plays .MID. I can store it to CD-R and Rw. But can I
get it to burn an audio CD? Like hell I can!
Error ID = 0 x C00D1178
Remedy ID = 0 x 00000000
In English? AND WHY DOESN'T IT JUST FIX ITSELF, IF IT
KNOWS WHAT'S WRONG?

Thanks to any one who knows and actually cares ...

Have you tried the option to create a data CD instead of a music CD? Check
the help file in Media Player. It covers the differences in these choices.

An invaluable link to have on hand for Media Player is:
http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html

Besides having a large number of error codes explained, there is also a
link towards the bottom for the media player newsgroups. I did not see your
error code there but only scanned the page quickly and may have missed it.

Download or buy a proper cd burning program. Dont expect MS to kiddle to
your every need.

Thanks.
