Error hastles

Hi.
My parents are getting an error message - something about module x violation
in x kernal (where first x = forgotten word beginning with 'a' and second x
= forgotten word beginning with 'm'... I think. Anyway, this comes up
whenever they try and start the antivirus programme... any ideas or help
welcome. I'm sorry that the information is so vague. TIA.
