Quite often errors are generated when the temp directory
gets clogged full of useless files. Excel has a very bad
habit of leaving its temp files kicking around and for
some reason tries to make use of them, even though they
are not useful.

Reboot then open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Documents
and Settings\{UserName}\Local Settings\Temp (or enter %
temp% in the address bar). Delete EVERYTHING in this
folder. This may clear up the error. Even if it doesn't,
make a habit of clearing the temp folder periodically
because it will speed up Excel.

Hi,
If the MS Excel is not completing a certain task then it might be possible that this is due to the some internal file problems or sort of corruption in the application. This issue is very serious because this might result into the loss of very important data. As data is the most important thing in your computer, so it need to be prevented.

Corruption of data's can be caused due to number of reasons and mostly due to damage of DLL and EXE files. Due to which the data becomes unmountable and inaccessible. In order to sort out this problem you need to repair excel file using any Excel Repair software.

So, if your excel cannot complete the task and giving error messages them simply repair it and get rid of the problem.

Best of Luck!
