Addy,

gftwain.dll was probably removed because it was thought to
be spyware but unfortunately the corresponding entry in
the registry was left in. There is a high probability
that it was spyware since a google on gftwain.dll finds
nothing so you don't want the system to find it.

Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select
Scan and Save Log. Note where you saved the log then
send it to me as an attachment. I can then probably tell
you what to do to get rid of it for good.

Because I saw Twain, in the dll message I assumed it had something to do
with such as device.

Google doesn't turn up anything under "gftwain.dll". Sounds like something
that was left over from a previous (incomplete) cleanup job. Maybe HiJack
This would turn it up.

Yes i do have a printer, scanner, copier, thing attached
to my computer, but i just got it a week ago; the error
dll thing has been bugging me for about a month now,
precisly as long as i got the Microsoft Antispyware.

yes. about a month ago, that when i got Microsoft
Antispyware, it started poping up. I tried undoing some
removals of things i though that were associated with it
but it hasn't worked.

This happens because you have removed something from the
dynamic link library thru the anti-spyware. It attaches
itself to the register.
Run regedit and find that in there. Then go to the anti-
spyware and use restore. You can also try this:
when you reboot, before the logo comes on, in the black
screen, type F8. Then another screen will appear where it
will say run last good configuration. Highlight that and
hit enter.
