Hello group,
Do you have any clue if there is any printer driver for windows xp with
error diffusion screening/dither option? I mean any PCL 5 or 6, PostScript
(which, I imagine, could send rasterized page as image)? The only thing
I've found so far is a driver for Konica Copy machine -- beautiful dither,
but to low a resolution (looks like ~150dpi); I'd like something with
600dpi screen.

TIA,
Arthur

PS I'm going to use it with Kyocera mono-laser printer: it is compatible
with plenty of PDLs.

A couple of ideas.

1. Most image processing programs include a conversion to halftone
(Photoshop, etc.).

2. Import the image into M$ Word. Word includes a halftone fiter used when
printing B&W.

Thanks, Don.

I know it is always an option to rasterize a document before printing via
a image processing app and send it as a bitmap. Still, as I wanted to
print a bunch of PDFs it is, I'd prefer to do it on a driver level (and
then linearize the printer with icc profiles).

For the DJ5xx drivers it was gone with XP,also they seem to downscale graphics
to 150dpi while the printer does 300dpi text fine.(True type, not the internal
fonts)
Graphic prints looked like from my jurassic Star NL-10 (9-pin impact printer).
