Error, D:\MSSETUP.EX

I've installed a new HHD. After installing old "My Doc's" I cant run setup of
MS Works 3.0. from USB drive( or from copied version of files on HDD).
In 3.0 Setup (Works 3.0)installation Maintinance program after clicking
reinstall I get Setup message.."could not open the file named D:\MSSETUP.EX."
I've changed the new drive name to D: no success. The docs were saved to a USB
drive(and worked fine before i ran Seagate Disk Wizard and installed this
new HDD)
These are my Dads files and he "wont b happy Jan" if they can't be opened.

Obewan r u out there?

I'm a little unclear about how you're trying to reinstall MS Works. You
need the installation CD's (with Product Key) to reinstall MS Works. You
can't use the files that came from Program Files on the old XP install.
If your Dad's MS Works came preinstalled with an OEM computer (Dell, HP,
Compaq, etc.) you may have recovery CD's for preinstalled software. If
not, you or your Dad will need to purchase MS Works from the store. Once
you have MS Works properly installed on the new operating system, files
created in that program will open.

If this is not your situation, then please post back with a better
description of what you are doing.

OEM copy of MSWorks 3.0.

You're welcome. If they won't send you another copy, just go to the
store and buy the latest version.
