Hello,
I'm trying to convert some Excel data into a new Access DB. I'm trying to
use the import function after opening a new, blank DB, but I keep getting
errors. I've done this before with no problems. Now everytime I attempt the
"Get External Data>Import" function, I get a dialogue box that says "You
entered an expression that has an invalid reference to the property |." along
with an "OK" button. When I click "OK", another box comes up that is mainly
blank with a title of "mx_FrmMail : Form".
If I just open a new blank DB and try to activate the "Create table using
wizard" function, I get a dialogue box that says "Method 'CurrentDb' of
object '_Application' failed" with an "OK" button.
What I've tried so far.....
I first tried the repair function for Office in Add/Remove programs.
That didn't help, so I uninstalled/reinstalled Office completely.
That didn't work, so I came here and have seen a few posts that talk about
reinstalling the DLL's for the wizard and several other things by dragging
their files onto the regsvr32.exe file in C:\windows\sytem32.
Just to further clarify... I'm running WinXP Pro SP2 and I've updated with
all available updates to WinXP and Office as well from the Windows/Office
Update sites.
So far, nothing seems to correct the issue. Does anyone know what's causing
this problem?
My next step, short of any suggestions here, is to uninstall/reinstall
Office into a different directory on my HD. Please help! Thanks!!
