error creating new appointments in Outlook 2003

I'm connected to my Exchange 2003 server using Outlook 2003 beta 2 (with the
technical refresh) using RPC over HTTP. When trying to schedule a new
appointment, I get the following error:
"The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
must be online or connected to complete this action."

Outlook is connected...I can send and receive mail without any problems.
Synchronizing also seems to happen without any problems. It's only when
trying to "Save and close" a new appointment that I get this error. Any
suggestions?
