I'm manually backing up data from a Windows 2000 computer
over to an XP one. Copying of most shared folders went OK;
some, however, displayed a message stating that a
sub-folder's path couldn't be found: for example, "Error
Copying File or Folder: Cannot create or replace Web
Images: Cannot find the specified path."
Checking Properties for the sub-folders in question showed
nothing amiss, like permissions set too high. Other
roadblocks, like path names with more than 259 characters,
aren't an issue. And they open OK in My Network Places. Any
ideas? Thanks in advance!
P.S.
When you right-click a shared folder on the network in
Windows 2000, it doesn't feature the Cut/Copy/Paste
commands like XP. Is there a reason for this?
