Whenever I attempt to save a file or folder to my A:
drive I get the following error message: Cannot
copy "name of file": Data error (cyclic rendundancy error)

Could someone please tell me how to fix this. I am a
college student that needs to save to her A: drive to
take disks to lab to print out my papers. Please email
me at (e-mail address removed)

Google "cyclic redundancy error", and look for software that can fix the
errors. There are several freeware/shareware utilities out there, but I have
none for W2K, since I haven't needed one (yet.)

Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Either the diskette drive itself or
the controller/cable.
