looks like vista can not write to SCSI HD.
(clean install from DVD)
Any suggestions?

Never mind.
I did an other DVD with slower speed.
Up and running and sending out of Vista.
(What a disapointment Vista is)

Disappointment in what way? Its still early and we are nowhere close to RTM?
Also, you have opportunity make an impact using the Feedback link on your
Windows Vista desktop.

As an old dude in Windows Beta Testing....
No FEEDBACK I (we) ever send was taken 100% over by Microsoft.
But times might have changed.
What get's me is the 'IMPOSSIBILITY' to change BACK to what you are used
to.
If you can not see those things, you panic.
