While working on a program that uses Internet Explorer, I repeated get the
following error message: "Internet Client Error, Connection Reset,
Stack=cPortSupport:Get Holdings, Error Code: -2147012865." I'd appreciate any
help you can give.

What program? What version IE? What version Windows? What type of hardware?
These are all questions that really need to be answered before *you* can get
an answer.

I have a Toshiba Laptop Satellite A35-S159, running Windows XP SP3 Home
Premium, Internet Explorer Version 8.06001.18882. The error happens when I'm
using a stock analysis program to which I subscribe called Vector Vest. I
hope I answered all your questions. Thanks.
 
Has the program always caused the error, or just since an upgrade, such as
going from IE7 to IE8, newer version or upgrade to Vector Vest, etc? I've
never seen that error code in Windows, and Vector Vest support is somewhat
lacking.
