Greetings,

I am having trouble with windows successfully
communicating with a CD-Rom Drive model: LG CD-Rom CRD-
8482B. I have tried uninstalling, using generic drivers,
everything one can think of. But in the device manager
the drive has an exclamation mark next to it and the
errors reported are Error Code 19: Your Registry Might Be
Corrupt. Nothing that the knowledge base had to offer
worked. Any ideas? I am at a complete loss. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. However, this computer does
not even have a CD burning device and thus would never
have had Easy CD Creator onthe machine. I tried
everything MS knowledge base had to offer on code 19 and
nothing has worked. Still entertaining suggesstions...

It isn't only Easy CD creator that causes this, that is only one
example. Read the article, look at the registry location called out and
see if it is there. It is the registry entry that causes the problem,
reguardless of the method it was introduced.

Hi, how about try this :

Remove the following registry entries from
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11
CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]
