Error code 100000ea, parameter1 82d68da8, parameter2 82d94c38, parameter3
f79c3cbc, parameter4 00000001.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Compaq PresarioSR1720NX
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 47 Stepping 2 AuthenticAMD ~1989 Mhz
Total Physical Memory 768.00 MB
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM) PCI-E CARD
128mb supporting 256mb video card memory

was playing battlefeild1942 when this crash occured (twice so far). also
recieved program error when playing command and conquer generals but not a
system crash.
both seem to play fine for a while before error occurs it not an acute error
maybe caused by heat buildup? put a fan towards video cards after first time
error happened.
also I noticed that the most recent nvidea driver was not WHQL logo'd. I
added the nvidea card thinking it was better than the ati radeon express200
that came with the machine, also I added some ram from original 512 but
noticed the module I put in is older and slower speed, could this be a
factor in the error? sorry so long but better than no info at all...thanks

i have been facing this problem since 2 days in my laptop Dell Inspiron
6400.
The screeen automatically turns off and nothing works. the computer
when restarted, showes " The system has been reovered frm a serious
error" and t6he log file shows : Error code 100000ea, parameter1
86b938f0, parameter2 86e801f8, parameter3 f7a90cbc, parameter4
00000001.

this problem repeats every 10-15 min. i am verey frustrated. any helpo
will be highly appreciated.

Need more info, I'm not a coder, I wouldn't know what to do with those
error codes, and I'm not sure a coder would know either.

Inspiron 6400...

So, what are you doing when the problem occurs? does it happen with the
computer sitting idle? Have you checked your power settings? Updated all
your drivers? Applied all the Windows updates?

Does the error say anything else? Sometimes Vista will say specifically
what failed on your system. Are you running Vista? XP?

How long have you had the system? If the computer is less than a year old
you're under warranty, call Dell, or take the system to a Geek Squad.
Bring your receipt.

I don't know Geek Squad, being English, but it doesn't get a good press over
at the other XP support newsgroups...

Oh, we're in your area.

China, Korea too.

Live and learn... but from that site I can't see any actual stores - they
only offer Remote Fixes, Home Visits, etc.

Will wait and see if the reputation they develop over here is better than
their appalling one in the States.

Any Best Buy store, you may or may not have them in your area, but we
have a precinct in each store, otherwise most of the home service guys
work from their home, so we may be in your area, even if you don't have a
Best Buy.

Only reason we have an appalling following in the states is because we do
so much business were bound to get the occasional "unreasonable"
customer. Honestly I have more satisified clients than dissatisfied.

I like to tell customers, the reason Vista sucks so bad is because the
Internet is as popular as it is. I think XP had a worse launch than
Vista, but because the Internet wasn't what it is today, it didn't get as
much grief.

UK has been putting us to the test. I remember when we launched there was
like 10 or so youtube clips from local news conducting sting operations,
I don't think any of them ended with us not knowing it was a sting.
Kindda funny.

I don't know, occasionally we **** up, but who doesn't? We have a waiting
line that's pushed out 3 weeks right now, the economy is hurting, we had
to make labor cutbacks so it's hard to get caught up. Probably the
hardest thing is to tell people that it's gonna cost $199 for diagnostic
and software repair, and then that it'll take 1-2 weeks. :( Fortunatly
people out here in CA usually have 2-3 computers per house, it's the
students that get it bad.
