Have you tried deleting the Outlook Profile and all extraneous files and
rebuilding a new profile?
SlipStick site has a great write up on Outlook 2007 File Locations:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup2007.asp
To delete the Outlook Profile (however, this will still leave problematic
files that Outlook uses, I would therefore, read up a bit and delete
some of the informational files so they can rebuild fresh when you
create a new profile.)
- Open your Control Panel for the operating system, usually via the
Start button on the bottom of your screen.
- Select the MAIL applet
- Click the SHOW PROFILES... button
- Select the profile(s) in the window and click the REMOVE button.
When you have removed all the profiles, I would suggest you look for
the following files and delete them (You can just rename them with an
..OLD if you are more comfortable with that). Outlook will rebuild these
when it starts up.
*.ost
Outcmd.dat
Views.dat
VbaProject.otm
extend.dat
and in the subfolder under \Application Data\Microsoft (see link above
for more detail)
..xml files
..srs files
Once you have cleaned these files off your computer, try starting fresh
by starting Outlook again.
