error code 0x800CCC15 stopping mail going out

what causes thi and how can I fix it. I just installed Outlook 2003 upgrade
to Outlook 98 (which worked fine). I did get a form to fill in regarding
LDAP, which might be related. I have checked smtp server settings which
appear OK. Incoming mail is no problem.
 
Outlook profiles often develop problems going through a version upgrade, try
creating a new one.

Thanks Hal, but the problem turned out to be a Trend PC-Cillin mail scan
interference with Outlook 2003. The current work-around is to change the
settings in PC-Cillin from Direct Connection to Home or Office Network. I
understand this does reduce your protection, so is not very satisfactory, but
it works.
