I have a Toshiba Satellite 6100 laptop printing with a HP network printer on a
print server. When I try to print a document all Office applications spool
to print then freeze up and windows gives me the blue screen and shuts down.
i have tried reinstalling the printer and drivers several times with no help.
i have 4 other computers printing off the same print server with no
problems. I thought it may have been a recent hotfix download, but
uninstalled the recent downloads and it also did not help. i thought it was
a virus, but the scan came back clean.
any thoughts? thanks

What is the version of your windows?
and if it is windows xp did you tried to install SP2?

All the computers are running xp professional with SP2 installed. the print
server is a hawking technologies wireless print server, i just downloaded and
installed the latest firmware version off their website which did not help.

did you print with this laptop on this print server before or this problem
always happens so you ever can print with your laptop on this print server ?

it happens most of the time since i have gotten this print server. every now
and then it will work. the print server freezes up when printing big files
from other computers sometimes, but never shuts them down

I'm not sure but i think that this print server is not compatible with your
laptop hardware because windows xp in most cases gives the blue screen when
an error with hardware happens.

and i'm sorry if my reply wasn't helpful but this is all i know.

thank you
