after installing hp creative scrapbooking it will not work I keep getting an
error that
c\windows\system32\autoexec.nt is not suitable for running ms\dos and
microsoft windows applications.
I am getting frustrated as I have no idea what to do. HP has told me some
things to try but I don't understand what they mean

Does this message come up in a window that closes regardless of which
button is pressed? If so try following the steps in this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767

This should fix your problem.

Hi,
I went to this site and followed the directions but when I type in the
commands I keep getting the message destination is not a directory.I have
tried many times and I still get this message.
When you type cmd and the box opens it says documents and settings\owner
should it say this?

Post exactly what you're trying to type into the cmd window.

Yes, the cmd window saying "c:\documents and settings\owner" is normal.

MD

Start>Run and type (or copy and paste) this without the quotes:
"cmd /c copy /y %windir%\repair\autoexec.nt %windir%\system32"

Ok when you type in the commands are you typing:

expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt

if so the you need to replace the text "CD-ROM Drive Letter" with the
drive letter of the CD-ROM drive installed on your PC. Usually it's D
so the command would look like this:

expand D:\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt

Hope this helps...
