Error 8602

I have a year old Dell Dimension 4550 without any problem in the past.
Suddenly on Sunday, it prompted an error as follows:

The error is as follows;
Error 8602
Auxiliary Device Failure
Keyboard failure

So, I reformatted and reinstalled WinXP. It still gave me the same error.
WinXP works most of time. Sometime it prompted the same error during
rebooting. I tried to change three different keyboard without any help.
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this inconvenient problem? Satoshi

Hi Craig,
This error is due to PS/2 Pointing device (mouse/keyboard) not
functioning. try fixing the mouse and keyboard to the proper slots. this
should work. the problem is not with Windows OS.

Ohno! Now they even move the newsgroup support to
India?!? As if email and phone support wasn't enough!
