I'm by no means an expert in this subject matter Dialup issues nor modems,
but since no one has responded to your posting then I'll try to assist you
to the best of my
ability.
We only have 2 issues reported where customers were dialing into the ISP
using a Modem, then get error 732 "Your computer and the remote computer
could not agree on a PPP Protocol." after verifing username and password.
What they did to assis the customer in resolving this issue, they went to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and removed the Winsock
and Winsock2 keys. Then uninstall TCP/IP and rebooted, Reinstall TCP/IP,
then everything magically started working. Depending which operating system
