I'm confused. RAS & VPN worked fine for months, and
suddenly 3 users out of 7 cannot connect.
Server W2K SP3
Clents W2K Pro, SP2 to SP4 (various)
all client dialers setup the same way
all clients are domain member computers
After initial failure, the failed clients were unable to
connect on RAS dialup, or VPN from their own ISP.
No errors are logged on the server, and I cannot open the
application events log on the client (confirmed on one
client only). Security & system logs have no errors.
Clients are able to log on the server through the office
network.
In attempt to fix, I broke the client computer security by
removing the client from the domain, and deleting the
computer object in active directory.
Now the client is able to connect on the VPN side, using
their own ISP, but are still unable to connect by dialup.
Again - problem exists with only some clients.
Above explains my confusion - any advice ?
