I'm stumped... have an xp installation here, that refuses to connect.
it's just had new mboard cpu ram and modem stuck in it, everything works
fine except dun. The original problem with the dun, where nothing was
visible, is sorted. xp is updated. the modem is fine. tcp/ip has been
reset. events shows that rasman is unable to load ndiswan.sys every
time I try to dial up. It's not a server or phone line problem.
Occasionally it gives me error 50, request not supported, and rasman
doesn't show up as being unable to load. But same result. It's hanging
up just as it starts to verify username and password. A google and ms
knowledge base search has found a number of people with similar sounding
problems, but no resolution. xp pro has been reinstalled over the top.
