error 5774 in even log and server not found by clients

I have the following error in the event log of the Windows
2000 advanced server :

NETLOGON Error None 5774 N/A "Server-
name" Registration
of the DNS record '_kpasswd._udp.domain-name. 600 IN SRV 0
100 464
server-name.domain-name.' failed with the following error:
DNS server unable to interpret format.

Also the server is not found when searched by a computer
in the network.

note : that domain-name and server-name refer to the
values of our server
