We have remote W2K server users that every few days come
to the office and connect directly onto the LAN. That
works fine, but when they disconnect from the LAN and half
an hour later try to VPN to the VPN (W2K) server on our
LAN through the internet(normal modem dial-up), they get
Error 52:A Duplicate name exists on the network. We do not
use DHCP, as clients all have static IP adresses which is
needed for Message Queueing. The VPN clients all supply IP
adresses to the VPN server (client may request IP address
setting), and does not get IP addresses from the VPN
server.
How can I get around this error?
