I am not sure whether this is the right place for my question; if not,
I apologize and please advise.
Since this morning, for reasons I can't even think of, I am not able
to connect to any site requesting info from me; e.g, I can connect to
my provider site, but when I fill userid and password to access my
mail the answer is "web site refused to visualize web page. Probable
cause: credentials needed".
Same problem (or I think it is the same) is when I try to search some
database: e.g., www.ryanair.com, fill fields and request to find low
cost flights, answer is FORBIDDEN You don't have permission to access
http://www.bookryanair.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi on this
server
This does not depend on the site accessed: trying to access maxthon
forum and to search the forum for anything gives the same kind of
answer: FORBIDDEN: You don't have permission to access
http://forum.maxthon.com/index.php?s=5d239ea7450718381479530573eef7f0...
on this server
I am going nuts because:
1) I am positive I haven't changed anything since last night, when
everything was fine
2) The problem is only with IE: FIREFOX does not have these problems,
and seems to work fine.
What did I do wrong (maybe unknowingly)? And is there any remedy? Is
it possible that something went astray in the firewall (but this
should affect firefox as well)?
