Error 2282 When Export Access Report To Excel

Using Access 2007 (database format is still Access 2000, but I have confirmed
this is an issue with a 2007 db format as well).

In testing our reporting application (mdb \ mde) with Access 2007 I have
been receiving the error 2282 whenever I attempt to export a report to Excel
using the Docmd.OutputTo method. Even when I have attempted to use the option
from the new ribbon menu I am unable to export the report to excel because
the Excel option is not enabled.

Is this by design, a bad install of Office 2007, or some optional component
that needs to be installed for it to work?

This is a HUGE feature that our end users have come to expect of their
reports, and while the export process to Excel has never been great, it
certainly is better than nothing!

Anyone else experience this issue or know of a workaround?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

There are rumors of a problem in this operation. AFAIK,
this is under investigation, whatever that means.
