My computer reboots about once or twice a day, with no warning. The Event
message is 20027, a RASMAN error, which says that NDISWAN cannot be located.
I find two NDISWAN files on my computer, with identical dates, times and
sizes. One is in WINNT\system32\drivers and one is in
WINNT\ServicePackFiles\i386.
Where is the one supposed to be that Windows can't find? I'll just make a
copy of one of these two and put it where the system is looking for it and
can't find it.
I've already tried several other steps, including reinstalling Win 2K SR4,
but that didn't reinstall the missing file.
Or could the error message mean something else?
I havent' tried the Win 2K Repair function because I seem to have a lot to
fix when I do that, but will do it if it's the only way to fix the problem
Thanks to anyone who can help
Please post the answer here for others to see, and also send me an email at
(e-mail address removed), since I don't remember to look on the newsgroup regularly
