From what I understand about deploying thrid party
software using the MSI Package software I am doing
everything correctly.
I am trying to deploy Attus WatchDog 3.0 at my 15 branches
of my bank. I created the MSI Package and it went fine.
I created the group policy to deploy it and it was easy.
We are running TrendMicro OfficeScan Corp. Edition as our
antivirus software for the whole bank.
When I have a user log onto a machine and try to run the
deployed software I get an Error 1913. It says this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ERROR 1913. COULD NOT UPDATE THE INI FILE C:\PROGRAM FILES
UNINSTALL INFORMATION/MDAC_CORE27\MDAC_CORE27.INI.
VERIFY THAT THE FILE EXISTS AND THAT YOU CAN ACCESS IT.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have verified that they are there but, from what I
understand, the antivirus software has locked these files
and set them to read only. I knew this from viewing
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 321446

us;321446
Is that the issue? And how can I work around this so I
don't have to visit every machine?
