I cannot get MAS to uninstall or install correctly. I get
error 1904 Module type error.

this is on an XP HOME SP2. The software had been running
fine for a while them something broke it. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling and manually unregistering.
None of this works.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I used the Spyware and it
worked perfectly. I then installed the latest version of
Norton Antivirus Software 2005 and Microsoft Spyware does
not fully un-install when trying to remove it (reveive
multipel error 1904 messages) and then when I try to
install new version receive multiple error 1905 messages.

Have tried to find solutions on net but nothing yet.

1. What version of Windows? And what Service Pack level?

Windows WP; Service Pack level 2

2. What account were you logged in under when the above
message appeared?

Not sure what you mean by account. We have four (4)
different users on the computer and I logged in under my
user. I believe the user was different when initially
intstalling Spyware--does that matter? I will log in on
as same user I was logged in on when intially installing
and see if that permits full un-install

3. Does that account have Administrator rights?

Do not know. How can you tell?

4. Was any other account also logged in at that time
(e.g. after Fast User
Switching)?

Not that I am aware of.

FYI, I did go back and logged in as the same User that I
was logged in as when initially installing the software
and it worked fine.

XP Home or XP Pro?

Yes, it matters very much.

"Account" = "User Account", that has a user name and password associated
with it, and various access rights.

Please do.
3. Does that account have Administrator rights?

Do not know. How can you tell?

Control panel "User Accounts" displays the type of each account.
