Error 1306 Office XP Administrative share exclusive access to email.dot

Get a 1306 error. During installation from Office XP Pro
administrative share. Exclusive access to file email.dot.
Have user that has read write access to file. He is a
manager who isn't convinced he is causing this problem.
What is the work around here?

Please don't multipost but simply address more newsgroups at the same time.

Is this share on a Windows based server? If so; are you using a mapped
connection? Try using an UNC path (\\servername\servershare\Office\PRO.MSI

Also check if you've ran the right commandline to create the administrative
install (especially SHORTFILENAMES).

Tried it before my orginal post and no joy.
Also check if you've ran the right commandline to create the administrative
install (especially SHORTFILENAMES).

This adminshare has no patches applied so that isn't applicable.
