"The dependency service or group failed to start"
Please help someone, I have this error everytime I try to
set-up a network between two PC's. I have checked and
double checked that all the services needed are enabled
and running, but I still get this error.
Many thanks.....
J
.
I have had the same problems.
It is because you do not have a browser as well as other
services working.
Right click on My Computer and choose Manage.
In the new window choose Services.
In services choose Compuer Browser.
It is most probably not running. Look at dependancies.
It will tell you what Browser depends on.
Start those services and make them AuTOMATIC.
Net Logon most probably will not start, unless you are on
a domain.
You should now be able to see all computers.
If not look at all dependancies and start the relevant
ones.
You might still have as I have, a problem copying and
moving files, depending on the direction you are going in.
I keep keep getting ACCESS DENIED messages.
This is because you need to give full access to the shares.
