Most people with this problem, as myself, has had a lexmark printer on
their computer. And after uninstaling the software, noticed lexmark
still had services running. I got the same problem after deleting
lexbces.exe. I could not start fax service, cause of error 1068, nor
my print spooler due to error 1075, which was because the spooler and
fax have dependacies on each other. Here if the fix I finally found,
and it worked. It takes away the lexbce that no longer is there for
the computer to use, and replaces it with rpcss, which your computer
used before you installed the lexmark printer. Here is the fix:
1 On your desktop, hit Start, Run:
2 key the command
sc config spooler depend= RPCSS, then hit enter.
(note the space after the = but not before)
3 To restart fax and the print spooler, go to Control Panel, click on
administrative tools, open Component Services shortcut, double click
the services on the right, double click the print spooler, and start
the print spooler. After it is running, double click on fax, and start
the fax service.
5 Your ready to install your new printer.
