Error 101

I recently downloaded Microsoft AntiSpyware and i tried to
run it i recived this error.
Warning, Microsoft AntiSpyware has encountered a critical
error (Error 101). Please restart Microsoft AntiSpyware
again. If you continue to experence this problem, please
contact Microsoft technial support at (e-mail address removed)

I emailed that address but i recived no response. can
anyone help?

Locate gcasDtServ.exe and double click. Add a shortcut gcasDtServ.exe to
your Desktop. Oddly when you double click the shortcut it doesn't start
MSAS but places an icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar. Double
click on that and MSAS starts.

Others have overcome Start problems in different ways but what I have
described works for me.

Thank you very much for your help its working fine now (17
threats found on the first run).

Thanks for telling us the result. Please you've got MSAS working. Be
careful about false positives. Use the quarantine facility. Some users
have created problems for themselves by opting for immediate removal.
