I have the same problem. I installed MSAS as member of
the administrators group. The software started to eat all
my memory and jammed the computer at the first scan. It
got stuck over a register key I had changed the security
to not allow everyone full control over. I had to
reboot the machine and I uninstalled AntiSpyware. Then I
reinstalled as the Administrator and I got tons of
messages telling me it can't register some DLLs. Now I
have error 101 if I try to run it or to uninstall it.

I'm stuck too.

Please HELP!

regards,

BT

PS:
I have Win/XP SP2 with MS firewall active and AVG as
antivirus.

If I am understanding your situation correctly, you installed and had some
difficulties, and then uninstalled. That cycle went well (except for the
product not working right!)

You then again attempted to install, as an administrator, and the install
failed. Uninstall also fails, and you can't run the product?

I think I would recommend the Windows Installer cleanup tool:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

I'm not certain this is the correct solution for your current condition, but
if you clean up items related to Microsoft Antispyware and nothing else, you
at least shouldn't be worse off than you are now.
