-----Original Message-----
An error 101 appears when stating the antisysware beta on
my XP-PRO windows.
.

The same message appears:
XP Home Edition SP2
AntiVirus: Kasperski
Firewall: Kerio
Windows Services Configuration: optimized to prevent
intrusion

Thanks for your help, Ludovic

From my prior .. try this...I believe it is still valid for XP and 2000

I spent a few hours trying to figure this one out on my Win2003 server. What
I eventually found was that my DCOM permissions were not adequate.

-Run DCOMCNFG
-Navigate to Component Services\Computers\My Computer
-Right Click Properties
-Goto Default COM security
-Click 'Edit Default' in the 'Access Permissions' group box
-Verify/Add an appropriate user/group with allowed access

This worked for me when the other solutions did not. I hope this helps
someone else.

Not having any luck at this end. Having search thru this group, it appears I
am not the only one. The software worked great on my box at home. Scary
really just what it found. But my box at WORK is just the same as everyone
else. Error 101 when starting.
I have tried the RE-INSTALL, the add/remove repair, and even the DCOM
permission deal, but I get the same error in event viewer:-

Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10000

Happened while starting this command:

Not sure WHY it would not allow the application to run. I know it works, but
why it won't work on this machine is perplexing!
Are there any other solutions besides giving up??

Stupid!
Not sure if this is the CORRECT way of making it work, but I just double
clicked gcasDtServ.exe to load it up, the program allowed me to
run!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
What the heck is causing that I don't know!

NOW all I have to figure out is WHY my taskbar icon as disappeared at home!
I did have it at first, but after a re-boot it disappeared. The applications
are running in taskmanager, and the TOGGLE is set in option, but no icon.
