Error 0x8050800f

Everything was fine until I turned of my computer for two weeks in March when
I went on vacation. Now I get this error every time I run Defender scheduled
at 4am. If I start a full scan manually Defender runs without an error.

Another problem is Defender has a note just under the tool bar that "windows
defender definitions haven't been updated in 39 days." When I run update it
tells me everything is up to date.

I have uninstalled Defender & reinstalled it but the problem is still there.
 
It seemed to have worked. My signature version is now updated to 1.14.1389.7
& I am not getting the message on the Defender Home screen that Defender has
not been updated in 39 (by now 42) days. And the Defender icon in the system
tray does not have the "explanation point" over the icon. Thank you.
