I keep getting this error when I test my custom install ISO on vmware.
I was attempting to add a DataImage so that I could get some files on
another partition during installation, and keep running into this in many
cases, trying to figure out how to get this to work.
I get this error when I specify anything for teh Path in InstallFrom for
OSImage except the exact location (D:\sources\install.wim). Some
documentation I read online said the default is Install.wim, and that
relative paths are supported. If I do not specify the path and only have
OSImage (no DataImage), it works, but putting install.wim, or Install.wim
causes this error.
Of course, adding DataImage has never worked, since there is no default path
for it to look at (I appended the image using imagex into install.wim).
I am simply creating an iso, then testing in vmware, so there is no network
deployment going on (all the path examples I've seen are network based). Are
there credentials I need? I don't understand what is going wrong.
 
Just to clarify, I just want to install an image during the installation from
a DVD to a seperate partition from the system partition.
The error seems to be associated with the installer not being able to find
the image file from what is specific in Path.
