hi,using xp professional, and it happens when closing internet explorer
sometimes but happens every time when closing down computer
Hi Sandi
I did a search on google and came up with the following. You don't mention a
particular piece of software causing the error but it wouln't hurt to run
adaware (
http://www.lavasoftusa.com ) or spybot (
http://spybot-spyware.com ) to check if you've a problem
quote:
95% of the time when I shutdown my laptop computer, I get
the following message:
DDCMan.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x7720841c reference memory at
0x00000008 memory...the memory could not be read.
I doesn't seem to matter what application(s) I was
running before shuttingdown.
Any clues on what my problem is?

DDCMAN.exe is adware. There are countless tools on the web for removing
adware.
Try adaware
