error 0x20ae error in W2k Server

i am trying to delete orphan domain using command line
utility NTDSUTIL . After we reach to the stage where we
type in "remove selected doamin" we get an error msg
DsRemoveDsDomainW error 0x20ae(the role owner attribute
could not be read) .

Tried Knowledge base on Microsoft Website for help ,but
with no luck.

Please help!

Try running DCDIAG.EXE and correct any problems it finds. This is from the
"Support Tools", located on the Windows CD under the \Support\Tools\ folder.

Also, try posting this to a newsgroup specific to active directory.
