I've recently set up 2 computers in a local network. One
computer uses the second computer to share an internet
connection. The internet connection sharing works great,
I can "ping" each machine from the other, but the machine
without the direct connection to the internet reports
that "a network cable is unplugged" for the LAN connection
and cannot see the other machine for file and print
sharing. Since the ICS and ping protocols work fine, it
is obvious that all cables are indeed in place. Why does
it think otherwise? How can I repair this problem?
Thanks in advance...
