Hi
Since updating to service pack 2, my cursor has become very errattic. I
have tried tweaking the pointing device settings but no imporvement. Any
ideas on a solution would be much appreciated

Does your curser just fly around the screen? I have the same problem, Can
anyone help? Thanks

I read somewhere that it is a function of xp2, but I didn't understand
the reasoning behind it. I've found that if I just wait a second, I can
see it stop and then it works fine. Jean

Had this problem too and must be a conflict they overlooked. Just go into
Control Panel - Mouse - Pointer Options and uncheck the Enhance Pointer
Precision box.
works immediatly.

My cursor keeps diving to the foot of the screen or jumping to the top
- and staying there for as long as possible. I have disabled the
accu-point on the lap-top as I can't stand using it. I've uninstalled
previous logitech software and now use a simple usb plug-in mouse. The
problem persists no matter what mouse I plug in. Any ideas? Justin

I saw this piece of advice last week when browsing through the google
groups. So I unchecked the Enhance Pointer Precision box but the
problem remains! What's the situation re xp2. Does it need to be
uninstalled and reinstalled? Justin

That would be using a cannon to swat a fly. Check your mouse connector and
make sure it is seated properly. Then post back.

In addition to checking the connection, I would clean the inside of the
mouse. Try another mouse. Then look for a possibe virus if the problem is
still there.

You did not mention if it a PS2 mouse, usb mouse, or wireless mouse. If it
is the latter, make sure the battery is OK.

The problem is not the mouse. I've tried two different cordless
devices and I'm now using a simple plug-in mouse. I've also tried both
usb ports and the ps2 adaptor. The same problem persists. It seems
suspcious that the accu-point button on the lap-top doesn't work
either.
