Error Code: 0x800CCC92
'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password
in your account properities Under Tools, click email accounts. The Server
Responded -ERR USER/PASS required'

Greetings,

Above is the error I am getting in Outlook 2003 (v11.5608.5606).

The error started after I modified a security setting to allow images to be
displayed on email without creditals (default for my installation of Office
2003). Ever since this change, I have been unable to check either my POP3
account or Hotmail account. Both email services get a similar error as if
Outlook itself is not allowing communication to the email servers.

Beyond fiddling with settings in Outlook 2003 I have tried to delete all my
Outlook data in 'User/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook', I tried restoring
my registery to a point before the problem occured and tried reinstalling.

Nothing has been successful =(.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
 
there is an issue with passport - restarting outlook fixes it for a few
hours. if you change the image setting back, does it still return the error?
