Well an ERD (diskette) won't help much in a floppyless workstation.
The ERD for W2K and up has only a few files on it, most of the registry
data is stored on the hard drive. I am unclear about "recovery CD".
That could mean several things.
In terms of the registry and recovery, the most critical thing is to
have previously backed up the registry in the first place. That can be
done with ntbackup.exe or other methods. See also ERUNT (Google).
