Not necessarily. I've had the same problem before, and have done regular
virus scans with up-to-date definitions, and no virus found. Am using
Symantec Antivirus v 7.51.

This is true, but Symantec IMHO is one of the top two or three antivirus
packages, and if they found out their product didn't detect a particular
virus I'm quite positive they would put an update in their virus
definition files within hours.
