erasing addresses in address window

I have addresses of websites visited that appear in
dropdown window of address bar when I type in the first
letter of any word. I've tried to delete these using the
standard Internet Options tools, but they are persistent.
How do I delete them?

Do a Tools->Internet Options. On the General tab there's a Clear History
button that will clear this list and your history of all pages visited
cache.
