erased domain name

Hi, Murrmann...

You can't erase a domain name - it sounds like you removed your computer
from the domain to put it in a workgroup. You can't log in now because you
were previously using cached credentials for the domain on the computer, not
logging into the computer directly, and even if you get the local admin
password, you still won't see your profile, so there's little value in that.
You will need to bring the computer back to work and ask the sysadmin to
rejoin it to the domain.

If you were trying to do this to access resources on a home workgroup, you
didn't need to do this anyway- you could have mapped drives, accessed
printers, on the other computer(s) anyway. Do not mess around with your
network settings - this is one of the main reasons admins do not generally
like to grant user accounts local admin rights on laptops, etc - it's easy
for people to make mistakes like this without understanding the
consequences.
