I find myself having to get a laptop to edit my documentary as I have a gig
that will take me on the road. I'm editing a 75 minute doc with MM2. I have
32 hours of footage to draw from. What should I look for specifically to
work well with MM2. What do you recommend in external portable storage. It
seems that laptops only go up to 120 G hard drive. Or anything you can share
to help me make a decision. I have $2,000 to spend.

Thank you in advance my cyber-big brothers/sisters!

If it were up to me I'd buy a 250GB or bigger SATA drive (or SATA 300
dirve), and stick it in a USB 2.0 drive enclosure. You'll get the most bang
for your buck that way. Just make sure your laptop has a USB 2.0 port and
the enclosure you but supports both SATA and a USB 2.0 connection to the
laptop.
