I have had my C82 for about 9 months and was vey pleased but now I want to
throw the f**ker out of the window. I replaced the ink cartridges for the
first time a couple of days ago & now it won't print from the cyan or yellow
cartridges. I have tried EVERYTHING. Cleaning the nozzles, powering off
and on. Nothing works. Is this a known problem? Should I throw this piece
of shit out and buy an HP?

Just a thought, did you take off the strip on the top of the cartridge, if
not the ink will not flow properly.

Sometimes with new cartridges I have had similer problems, I have had to
leave the cartridge in overnight then when tried the next day the ink was ok
after a nozzle test and occasionally a clean.

If you have only had it for 9 months contact Epson. It is still under
warranty. Let them replace it for you.

The C82 cartridges don't have any strip to be torn off. I've replaced my
cartridges several times, with no problem.

Make sure the cartridges have been pressed down firmly. The tops of the
cartridges should all be flush with each other.

Make sure you didn't switch the positions of the cyan and yellow
cartridges (the colors should match the color tabs at the front end of
the cartridge holder). Looking at the printer from the front of my C82,
they are, left-to-right: black, cyan, magenta, yellow. You can bring the
cartridges into view by pressing the button with the ink drop icon
(press it again to return them to the normal position).

If all else fails, just contact Epson tech support. If they can't tell
you how to get it working, just ask them for a warranty replacement (I
hope you have your receipt). That's they way I got my C82. My old C80
failed about two weeks before its warranty ran out. You will probably
have to return your old printer to them (they pay shipping, IIRC). I got
my replacement printer in just a few days.

First of all, what cartridges did you buy? If they are compatibles that may
be the cause, but in any case take them back to where you bought them and
get a replacement set, it may be they are duff.
