Has anybody heard of an Epson Stylus Colour 300 Injet Printer?
The one I have came with my Gateway 2000 PC purchased in 1998.
I have never been able to print a page of print in anything less than about
5 minutes. Needless to say colour photos take ages. Is this normal? Other
peoples Printers I have see working are ten times faster.

I had this printer with a computer that I bought around the same time. It
was an extraordinarily slow printer, even at the time. Very frustrating if
you just wanted to quickly print something. I also seem to remember the
'draft' function, although being faster, was absolutely rubbish (in
comparison with printers I have used since). I would recommend buying a
cheap inkjet - they're very cheap now. I've recently purchased an all in
one - the Hewlett Packard 1210 (printer, scanner, copier). It's nothing
special, but you'll notice the increased speed - 10 pages per minute,
perhaps, and I wouldn't complain for under £100.

Those were very cheap printers. They weren't fast. You would be better off
buying a newer printer and not get the very low low end of printers again.

Thank you all for that advice. I think I might go for one of those HP all in
one jobs for about £99.

I still have a 400. It works fine.

Painfully slow, as you've noticed. Your 300 is even slower, I believe.

You might want to buy something made in *this* century.
