Epson TM-T88III parallel cable woes

All:

We're having problems with parallel Epson TM-T88III receipt printers -
they seem to be *extremely* sensitive to cable problems and/or cable
quality. We'll go through three or four standard quality parallel cables
to find one that works reliably and does not cause weird problems like
constant paper feed.

Can anyone confirm this observation? Has anyone had similar experiences?

Hi John,
sounds strange... never heard of such problems till the times of early
DFX5000+, which sometimes self-strobed surplus characters due to !busy
signal crosstalk to strobe line...

I'd like to ask some stupid questions :):
- what is the length of cable?
- what type of power supply do you use fot TM-T88? Is it PS-150 or
PS-180?
